今年2011年はビリー・ジョエル（Billy Joel）ソロ・デビュー40周年という記念すべき年。２月９日には自身の選曲による初のバラード集『ビリー・ザ・バラード』を発売し絶好調のビリー・ジョエルですが、４月には40周年記念の大本命であり、自身のライヴDVDとしてはなんと20年ぶりとなる作品がリリースとなります。　ライヴ・アット・シェイ・スタジアム デラックス・エディション(DVD付)

NYメッツの本拠地シェイ・スタジアムは、1965年にビートルズが史上初の野球場ライヴを行なった場所。2008年に老朽化のため取り壊しが決定したこのスタジアムで、最後のライヴを行なったのがビリー・ジョエルになります。しかもこの公演の最終日にはポール・マッカートニーがロンドンから駆け付け、ポールで幕を開けたシェイの歴史を、ポールとビリーが締めくくるという奇跡的な一夜となりました。
